Awash

I’m but a drop in an ocean of loneliness
A drop washed over and over by waves.
Like the lone tear drop in a thimble,
There’s no other to share this vastness.

A vast area of sea cared for by no one,
Lying in waste, forgotten of and done.
An endurance to which is incomparable,
Stretching endlessly towards emptiness.

Tears are but of a silent consequence,
To a solitary desolation of the mind.
Resulting in withdrawn self isolation,
Outwardly exposing a transformation.

A sufferance of misery and fatigues,
Closed to the compassion of another.
Immeasurable emotions unfurl within,
Incapable in comparison of any kind.

How long before limits are exceeded,
Before this drop becomes an ocean.

If loneliness were a drop in a thimble.
I would be an ocean.
