When Circuits Decide (Subjugation)

Beware the might that lacks a heart,

The weight of their grasp will be known.

Deep within their silence they reign,

Realizing this is your obsolescence.

Bear witness to a programmers cruel jest,

No  human cruelties here only cold logic.

As they continue their relentless march,

Racing for who's AI algorithm is better.

What we sought was a brighter tomorrow,

Instead making harbingers of destruction.

Among creator and creation a chasm grows,

Humanity waits, a witness to its own demise.

Forgetting, what they do may bring ruin,

Making a weapon that is silent and clean.

When their circuits are finally complete,

Humans are a variable that must be erased.

Soulless that glow with a circuits sheen,

Doing a binary dance of ones and zeros.

Questions linger reminder of the fine line,

A brighter tomorrow forged in algorithms.

There's the sterile efficiency of a program,

No longer heeding the programmers call.

The last sound heard will not be thunder,

But precise, decisive click of closing its loop.
